As our Design evangelist, Michele oversees the role strategic design plays in the creation of beautiful, engaging and effective work for all of our client's brands. For our largest client, Ford, Michele’s duties take on a global scale, with her working in collaboration with our partner offices in London, Shanghai, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and Toronto to ensure that each idea is brought to life, both conceptually and aesthetically, in a way that makes an emotional connection with a consumer.
Creative leadership and problem solving skills aside, it’s her endless enthusiasm, positive outlook and passion for design that continually motivate those around her. A rare-breed creative, her keen intuition and both left and right brain sensibilities set her apart as a trusted advisor.
Prior to directing Design at Team Detroit, Michele worked in a design capacity at JWT, FCB, Bozell, and Perich & Partners on a variety of both automotive and non-automotive brands. A graduate with honors from the University of Michigan School of Art + Design, Michele not only bleeds maize and blue but a true passion for all things creative.
She served consecutive terms on the Executive Board of AIGA Detroit, the Professional Association for Design and remains active in the local design community. Throughout her career Michele has been honored with numerous and varied awards, including EFFIEs, CADDYs, D-Show, AIGA, as well as being published in Communication Arts and most recently the Annual of the Type Directors Club, Typography 32.
On a personal note, Michele loves eating, drinking great wine, earned a black belt (which reserves her the right to claim to ninja when necessary) and her serious shoe obsession is genetic. Her proudest accomplishment? Motherhood to the coolest little boy on the planet.
